Chelsea Handler is a leading female figure in the world of comedy. The recently completed Chelsea Lately on E! marked the end of nearly a decade of late night television from Handler, who along with other women in late night, has created her own platform of content on E!, Netflix, writing, acting and more.
Chelsea Handler’s Netflix specials include “Uganda Be Kidding Me” which was based on her book of the same name. Other specials include “Chelsea Handler: Revolution”. In addition to her specials, Handler released an investigative show on Netflix called “Chelsea Does” in which she explores topics and answers honest questions.
Author Chelsea Handler is also known for her six published books. Handler’s most recent publication “Life’s a Beach” was released in January 2023 and instantly hit the New York Times Bestseller List. Each of Handler’s books were written in the same comedic format to her live stand-up performances. Many of her books are autobiographical in nature.
The newly opened theater at the historic Count Basie Center for the Arts is the type of venue the Red Bank theater scene has been lacking. The Hackensack Meridian Health theater is a beautiful venue, restored to its original grandeur, with all of the modern technology and amenities found in today’s premiere theaters.
