LIVE at the Hackensack Meridian Health Theatre, ‘70s era Genesis member and legendary guitarist Steve Hackett will perform on October 21st in one of the stops of his “Genesis Greats, Lamb Highlights & Solo” North American Tour 2025! The upcoming event, which spans nearly 30 dates, honors the 50th Anniversary of the UK Top 10-charting album The Lamb Lies Down On Broadway (1974), backed by the icon’s long-standing band of Roger King, Jonas Reingold, Rob Townsend, and Nad Sylvan, with tour guest Nick D’Virgilio.

Guitar legend Steve Hackett will make his way to Red Bank, New Jersey, on Tuesday, October 21st, 2025, performing a very special anniversary concert LIVE at the Hackensack Meridian Health Theatre! Adding to original engagements across the UK and Europe, the former Genesis lead guitarist will pilot his “Genesis Greats, Lamb Highlights & Solo” Tour to North America this fall with nearly 30 shows lined up. The production celebrates 50 years of The Lamb Lies Down On Broadway, Hackett’s fourth LP alongside the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame act, whose influence in rock music continues to echo beyond their golden age in the 1970s.
Recent years have found Steve Hackett and his band touring the world, celebrating the perennial works of Genesis amid resounding, widespread acclaim. With his highly influential techniques, inspiring the likes of Brian May and Eddie Van Halen, Hackett will astound you in a throwback concert from the finest works of progressive rock. The first part will showcase his best solo music, which covers favorites like “Spectral Morning,” “Every Day,” and “Ace of Wands,” followed by a brief intermission before getting into the piece-de-resistance.
The main set will then proceed with nine select tunes from the 1974 Genesis studio record The Lamb Lies Down on Broadway, a Gold-certified No. 41 on the Billboard 200 and Top 10 UK album. It features the singles “Counting Out Time” and “The Carpet Crawlers.” One of the group’s most conceptual efforts, it unfolds into a journey of self-discovery and symbolic transformation, culminating in a climax both surreal and spiritual. Other Genesis essentials will appear in tandem with The Lamb to further exemplify an evening of prog music classics.
Musicians Roger King (keyboards), Jonas Reingold (bass, backing vocals), Rob Townsend (saxophone, flutes, additional keyboards), and Nad Sylvan (vocals) will join Steve Hackett as his long-tenured live band, with Nick D’Virgilio (drums) tapped for the North American leg.
